Ok...so I began eating bread again. And I decided to have dairy too. And I think I had 2 or 3 tbls pbj (w/out the jelly) and I have GOT to stop esp. eating dairy daily! My tummy is out-to-there with bloting, I'm having a D attack that will soon follow by C (I'm an A and I know what follows my D attacks...), heartburn...and I got no one to blame but me

My total weight loss so far is going from 153 at my height down to 133 and my goal is to weigh 120 and not feel so sluggish! I bike 15 mins every other day (started Sun) arm weights 15 mins the days I don't bike and then Sat. I do yoga. Every week I will up things by 5 mins until I reach prob 40 mins each activity or something like that. (I also do stretches/dancing on the weight days for 15 mins following the weights...forgot that part).

BUT I gotta get off the dairy and fats overload!

I wont even post what I've eaten so far today! I WILL say Beth/Augie's post in the ER was VERY inspiring and encouraging (I'd already decided I needed a make over but what a boost that BF for Cers post was!) and now I just need your help!

With my new interstitial cystitis diagnosis my diet is further limited. No beans. No apricots. No peanuts, cashews, almonds, pistacios or pecans. Most fruit is out. Even spinach is too acidic! Egg whites are ok. I find most animal protein makes it worse...but I can get away with bits here and there. Bread makes me feel better. So does white rice. I am eating a lot of Imagine Soups with white rice right now. I am hoping to get some plain oatmeal and add applesauce with cinammon and hope I like it! Maybe try some pureed pear (pears and dates are on the ok list and there are other fruits that are "try and see" fruits, like bananas...which seem to be ok for me). Cranberry juice is one of the five worst foods as are tomatoes!

Anyhow, I need you all to get on me if I don't post my food, if my food isn't IBS safe, and mke suggestions along the way *hugs* You are the most amazing support system I've seen yet! I know I will make it with you by my side!!!! *huge hugs and more hugs*

P.S. IC (interstitial cystitis), is "Interstitial Cystitis is a pelvic pain syndrome afflicting millions men, women and children throughout the world.

Also known as painful bladder syndrome, patients experience symptoms of frequency, urgency and/or pain. Many patients also have an underlying pelvic muscle tension disorder. You are not alone!"

Love you!

What a pity we can't go and hide in a health spa or something!

I have GOT to get on track of my eating. It's not tooooo bad, but my IBS is ridiculous so I guess I'd better be good.

Having an awfully bad time Fibro-wise atm. Was in A&E on Saturday with the worst migraine of my life. And tho my doc's finally given me some sleeping pills, they make me so sleepy the next morning. So basically I either sleep all night AND all morning or I get no decent sleep at all. What's a girl to do?

I was wondering if it's not helped by me not getting outside so much atm. Archie's waiting to see the specialist again and till then he's not allowed proper walks. So I don't have to drag my butt out with him anymore - probably not a good thing.

I'm also so nervous atm. I've never been nervous! Saturday actually made me scared of my bed. And I'm so wary of going anywhere on my lonesome, I need Si holding my hand. Any ideas on that front?

Anyway, email me Rache. I got your email...soz I didn't reply. I think it's great you're having some breakthroughs.

Well...here's my 3.5 cents worth...

1. Write down your goals, clearly and affirmatively, lovingly.

2. Start a 'hit & miss' list or rating scale based on physical and psychological/emotional response. Evaluate and listen to your body. I know that certain foods are psychological triggers for you as well.

3. Experiment. Be patient. Laugh lots! Read/research. What is alkalizing for some might be quite acidifying for another and vice versa! Inner ecology--LOL! It's the difference between feeling like a cesspool and Swan Lake.
Also, there are variations to be considered for hormones, moods and well...stuff!

4. Keep it simple. Breathe. Journal. Meditate. Do some gentle exercise.

5. Considering that we have matching prescriptions, I know that sometimes we have really barfy, nauseated days and D days. So...be flexible.

I'll comb my brain some more. Considering your fibro some more protein might be helpful. It sounds as though you're not making enough tryptophan, as well. (clue: nuts, dairy indulgence)

Kate.
