Okay, when I said I was going to take a break from posting here, I met for a couple of days! Not a week and a half. Due to some technical difficulties with my IBS account, I wasn't able to access my info or post. But that's all been fixed thanks to Heather and her tech guy.

I'm pretty much eating the same, although I've been eating a lot more rice, mushrooms, zucchini, and broccoli. I've been getting out more and walking as well as doing some light exercises at home. I feel like I have more energy (yay!), which I think is because I'm sleeping better.

Because I'm able to work regularly again, my legs and arms are really toning up. A few weeks ago, I was noticing that all my co-workers (regardless of age and weight) have very toned arms; it must be because of the hundreds (even thousands)of books we have to lift and carry around all day.

B: 1 bowl cheerios 1/2 bowl capn crunch with acacia in milk
snacks: luna bar, pretzels, 1/2 banana
lunch: grilled "cheese" with tomato and homemade pesto, mango and canteloupe
d: soy ice cream (bad day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Exercise: I exercised today! did 45 min/11miles on exercise bike and situps (I felt good until 10:30 then napped at 12:30 and then was ok at 1:30- not so bad, getting better)
Other: dehydrated. Pickled with friend and it was stressful. I suppose I should post on living room that my job has fallen out from under me. New employer is offering 1/3 less for me to do the same really hard, dangerous job and I am not sure what to do; hence the ice cream for dinner!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Walked/window shopped for 2 hours in the afternoon. Visited the "Vampire's" for my weekly "donation." (I call the lab the Vampire's, as they draw blood.) Is it just me or are teenagers getting really humpty dumpty looking?

Still have the flu/cold, but needed to get out as I felt stir crazy. Nose dived into a book most of the day.

In typical hobbit habit, random order, etc., et cetera:

--1 L Gatorade
--3 c. blackberries
--1.5 c. beets, .5 c. baby brussels sprouts (NO PROBLEM WITH THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS; well cooked from frozen! I treated them as you might treat a piece of dark chocolate or soy ice
cream or peanutbutter...) with fresh dill and parsley
--"Roasted Fennel and Baby Carrots" (yet again, this week!!! My favourite inner rabbit comfort dish of late.)
1 fennel bulb (2c.)
3 cup baby carrots (added some lavender and rosemary)
--1 c. cranberry juice
--1 L No-Chicken stock
--I just felt mostly like water and Rooibos tea, and then TROPIC of STRAWBERRY tea (iced) all day. I tried TRUE BLUEBERRY and IT'S DIVINE, too!!!

That's all folks!

Kate.
