I noticed people on this board posting daily foods with the calories and grams of something listed. Is that fat grams? And how many grams of fat do most of you shoot for? Although I've been on a gazillion diets, with eating the IBS diet I'm not sure what I should have as a calorie goal. I eat lots of rice, chicken, broccoli, cereal, bananas........My IBS is really improving and it's time to look at getting some of this weight off that is killing me. Any advice would be appreciated.

It's so useful. You put in your height, age, weight, sex and lifestyle and it works out how many calories you'll be burning in a day. You can then add extra activites AND input your foods. For losing weight you want to aim for about 500 less calories than you are burning in total.

Good luck! I've found it so helpful!

If you've registered, log on and go to your home page. Most of the stuff is there. You can then enter extra activities for each day on the activities page. I sometimes change my lifestyle for one day - e.g. if I'm off sick or something.
