Well I am still losing weight which is the one good thing, but I am also still quite sick and getting very depressed about it. If the weather was poor while I was sick it wouldn't be so bad but it is lovely and I have so much gardening to do. I am all out of prednisone and didn't have any effects from it whatsoever. I can hardly eat and have no interest in anything at all! It has been over a week since I exercised too. I did get out and planted some pansies and watered the lawn- quite something! I just don't know why I am not improving.
Weight is 131 and a new low for the year. Aren't summer colds the worst!

im hoping to, again, turn a new leaf as my C is at its all-time high and ultra painful. heres my foods from today:

B-*handful of raisins
-*strawberry soyogurt
-lrg.peppermint tea w/1TBSP of acacia

S-*sm.apple
-*slice/homemade cinn-raisin bread

D-*sm.lettuce salad
-*7 chunks/mixed melon
-*homemade noodle soup [1CUP]

S-*french-vanilla oatmeal w/acacia [half-TBSP]
-2 cups/peppermint tea w/1 TBSP of acacia

i feel like crap b/c ive been sick all week and headache-y so i had no energy to move, workout, walk, run, or do any of my exercises. i only did busy-bee work @ my job b/c i had to. but i found my pilates tape, the one i lost so i want to start doing that since its short. YAY. monday is tomorrow and hopefully a nice day too!

Joining in if y'all don't mind. I'm testing out my triggers and categorizing them, so I'm still at an experimental stage.

Today: Milk sucks. Yes, I know they're on the list, but you have to put *something* on cereal! :P Also, lemonade sucks BAD and yogurt semi-sucks. Spaghetti kind of hurt me, actually. Oatmeal, however, is a Godsend.

Exercise-wise, I caught a few nerfball passes at the park today, but it was a low activity day for me because of itermittant abdominal pain. However, I'm setting a goal of walking 1 mile each day today as it helps me get things moving.

It's going to be a long week.

So because I was so sick today, I didn't eat much. I had a piece of plain toast, a bowl of "chicken" noodle soup, and some plain pasta for dinner. Since I had a lot of pasta as well as gatorade to rehydrate myself, I probably hit my points anyway. I didn't bother counting though- too tired.

Minnie - hope you're feeling better!
Welcome, Freeda! A fellow Michigander I see

Sunday - not much better than saturday. I feel like I am eating constantly but I am not as hungry and I still eat. Probably eating more at each setting or something. Hopefully getting back to the work week routine will help as I am feeling chubby.

breakfast - OJ w/fiber. Oatmeal w/raisins and soy milk. UFO bev.
Lunch - grilled chicken green salad (UFO for some!) with fruit. One white roll.
snack - 1 slice coffee cake, dried apricots.
dinner - poached salmon. few baby carrots. 3/4 of a medium baked potato.
snack - 3 York peppermint patties. Too many honey-wheat pretzel twists!!!

Excercise - just walking the dog ~10 min.

Try soy milk, almond milk, or aot milk instead of "dairy" milk. You might really enjoy it!

Sorry for the question, but what do BSDS stand for? I'm still learning, so if there's a post that explains it, or if it's a special kind of diet, point me that way! (I haven't gotten Heather's books yet, I'm waiting for payday.)

I started out good with a big bowl of oatmeal but a friend called over with almond slices and I ate three, but since I Had no lunch (I lay in til lunchtime) and had the ever yummy Sausage and Rice Skillet for dinner I think I did OK. I also did a 30 minute very very very fast walk and tons and tons of housework

My husband scared me by thinking I might have mono! but I think I might be feeling better this evening. I will see tomorrow. Everyone around here is getting weird and longlasting colds. And all I want to do is garden.

My mom and I got in an argument about my weight. Haha. I told her I was 130; she said no way. I had to hop on her scale to prove it, and that's when I found out that I'm actually at 124.5. So I guess my scale's off by 5lbs (I refuse to believe I've lost that much weight) and I've been grumpy about my weight for nothing.

Further proof that you should IGNORE THE NUMBERS ON THE SCALE and just go with how you look and feel!

Ahh, I'm sorry..moms alway know don't they?

I just read where if you have your scale on carpeting or a rug it can weigh up to 5 lbs more than a hard surface. Kandee

Ahh... I adore my mom, she can be right as much as she wants to be.

My scale's on a tile floor, not carpet... but it's an old scale (1950's) and not a digital one, so who knows if it's accurate or not. It was in someone's junk pile, after all!

Know how I used to check to see if my scale was accurate? I would take one of my dumbbells (say a 10 lb.) one and place it on the scale. I used to have one of those scales that you could adjust up or down with a little dial if it was off. Now I have a digital one. Darn thing is never off!!!

But you know... it's only *somewhat* steered me wrong. It's calibrated *exactly* to my doctor's scale, so I'm not going to mess with it - that way, when I go in for a check-up, there's no shock when I step on the scale.

And thanks!
