Did I do this right? (I gained more weight...so starting from scratch!)
I weigh 155
I am 26
And 5"5 (65 in)
I got a BMR of 1,489.4
Adding daily activity it becomes 2,383
Is this right???
So...in order to LOSE weight I need to eat around 2,000 cals a day for a week AND exercise about 200 cals worth a day? And then next week decrease by 500 more? Am I getting it?
Sorry Casey...I know you e-mailed me about this. Math and I do NOT connect!
Thanks for the help!
And Stephie...THANK YOU FOR YOUR POST! We can do this *hugs*

Hi Ruchie,
Yep, according to Casey's formula thingie, that number looks right to me. If you want to lose weight, they said to subtract 350-500 calories from that number. You get to add back any calories that you burn exercising.
I don't think you should decrease it by an additional 500 calories the second week, that would be like 800 calories.. I am not sure about this part though.
Hope somebody else gets it more than us! Hee hee. --Steph

You've *almost* got it. The numbers sound right to me. However, you just decrease ONCE... don't decrease by another 500 the following week. Just keep eating around the 2000 calories and keep on exercising, and you should be fine and see gradual results!
