I hardly have the energy to add up cals but I want to do it so,
B: cream of wheat raisins-260
work day lunch and snacks: 3 bananas, orange, luna, PB&J, 2 muffins and pretzels (this includes dessert) 1270
dinner: leftover noodles with chicken and veg (lots) 500
I guess that is about 2000 cals.
Water: way low
exercise: worked in the rain
mood: super crabby

I'm doing a little better today... it took me almost a week to get used to the taste of herbal teas again. They all seem so bland compared to the Teeccino! But the real problem is that the Teeccino was convenient - I could make a pot and be guaranteed to drink 60oz before noon, because I didn't have to sit and wait for the water to boil, and then wait MORE till it was cool enough to drink.

Teeccino needs to be cheaper, darnit. One of those stupid $8 containers only lasts me 3 weeks.

I take it that you were using a coffee pot to make the Teeccino? Well, could you use a few tea bags at a time and put in the filter section and brew a BIG pot of it? That is what both my Sister and her "man friend" do.... I know it does not steep that way.... but hey, it is worth a shot. Or hang several bags inside the pot, holding in place with the lid... run the water through the machine....let steep, remove bags and keep on the warmer.?

Just as a point of reference...

I do the "make a big pot of tea in the coffee pot" thing...although I know it makes real tea aficionados cringe. I think the flavor is better to put the tea bags in the pot, with the strings outside holding the bag so that the hot water drips through the tea bag. But Beware that the string (or the metal chain from the tea ball if you use loose tea) can prevent the lid from closing properly, so watch and be sure the water is dripping into the pot before you go off and leave it.

And yes....I did find that out the hard way...

I did try that... I thought about using the bags in the filter basket, but realized they wouldn't steep, so I put the bags right in the pot. It was awful - like drinking hot colored water - and I had left the bags in there for almost an hour. All I can figure is that the water just doesn't get hot enough to steep the tea... herbals work better with boiling water. Good thought, though!
