Don't do it. I have not lost a pound in 7 weeks. I sent my weekly food log into my leader. Guess what she said (I already knew what she was going to say before she said it.) She said I'm not getting anough fruits and veggies and no dairy and I need to cut back on the carbohydrates. Huh? No way can do lady. You all understand. Our diet is heavy on the carbohydrates (especially things like white pasta) - because it has to be. Listen to Laurel and Shell and everyone else here. Don't do Weight Watchers. It's a waste of good money.

Alicia,

I agree with you! I struggled to stay at my 20 points, and even if I did make any progress, the flexpoints negated the progress. I went for nearly a year. My husband kept telling me to "tell them that you are at your goal". I could not even get to my first 10%! The only time I seemed to lose was when my "tummy" was acting up to the point that I did not want to eat! Of course, that slowed my metabolism down further. It just seemed like a vicious cycle! Is there any way that you can get a refund on part of your money? After all, you have made a valiant effort to work the program...and realized early on that it is not for you! They do not want to see anyone leave and they do not want a "disatisfied" customer. It is worth a try.

Take care,

Karen

It's not personal enough and doesn't work great with the IBS diet. I never went to meetings as I couldn't face having to explain my diet choices! BMR etc just makes so much more sense.

I have lost 20 lbs on WW in only 4 months, and am only "stuck" now with 10 lbs to go. It is a struggle to do WW on an IBS diet, but it's not impossible.

I don't mean to be rude, but didn't you just post about how you had milk with your cereal and yogurt?

That's not following the IBS diet.

Yes, and it was also full-fat vitamin D milk, which isn't on the WW diet either! I don't claim to be perfect on EITHER diet, much less at blending them. But I don't think that they necessarily cancel each other out, either.

MMMM I remember full fat milk! SOOOO good! Hope you enjoyed it before your tummy started hurting!

I bet blending them can be hard - I'm glad I don't have to try to follow two!

Congrats at losing the first 20lbs and WELCOME

Thanks for the welcome. My IBS isn't as bad as many I read about here. Heck, I had a pork chop for dinner and it's sitting just fine! (I'm just having a bad month with milk.)

As with everything else in weight loss AND IBS, it's one of those "what works for one may not work for another". But I think it's important to keep an open mind and give things a chance.

I envy you, then, that you can handle such foods! I just adore cheesecake, but haven't had any (except for a bite a few months ago) since I started this diet about 5 months ago. It would be really nice to be able to eat it... but at the same time, not being able to eat it makes weight control much easier.

Sorry the milk isn't working well for you, but mmm a pork chop sounds heavenly!
