I woke up from a nightmare & can't go back to sleep. After being diagnosed w/ IBS-D for about 3 years now, I still can't get a handle on the stress..........I am a teacher & have a field trip coming on Thursday (280 blocks away-far for me!) and I'm panicking already that I might have an "episode." I'm thinking of maybe eating nothing but french bread for 48 hours before and popping lots of imodium. Any suggestions????? A bus full of 5th graders is scarey!

Eating a very safe diet (but not just french bread! ) is a good idea, as is taking a dose of Immodium on the morning of the trip - and taking more with you.

Make sure you don't TOUCH any triggers for days before hand and pack some safe food for you in case there isn't anything there.

Have you tried the hypno CDs for the anxiety?
