BMR 1724 + exercise 367 = 2091 - 350 = 1741 food budget

Pre-breakfast: 2 tea biscuits (32)
Breakfast: oatmeal w/ banana (244)

AM Snacks: crispix (110), jello (90), 2 tea biscuits (32)

Lunch: tuna-veggie pasta salad (364), slice of bread (70)

PM Snacks: more crispix (160), saltines (60), half pita (60), large gumdrop (45)

Dinner: baked chicken breast (142), herbed baked potatoes (170)

Dessert/Late Snacks: 2 slices Norwegian Apple Pan Pie w/o the nuts (250)

all you meals look good.... even with TWO slices of pie....hehehe

Drinks: 5 cups teeccino w/ stevia & nondairy creamer (50), 3 glasses water = 80oz great

Food & drinks total: 1879

Activity:
45 min shoveling frozen snow and breaking up ice = 259
45 min hatha yoga = 108 (I did yoga 2 days in a row! I'm excited! Hehe.) RIGHT ON!!

I weighed in this morning, and I was back at 125. (Woohoo!) WWWOOOHHOOOO is right!! So obviously my problem was pill-related water retention and not actual weight gain - this was my first month on the bc pill, I had no idea it would do that... now I know.

I no longer have any idea what I'm doing calorie-wise. Haha. I figure I'm going to just figure up my BMR every day as a general guideline... I really don't necessarily care if I meet it or not, but having a guideline and counting helps stop me from binging all day & eating 5000 calories - which is really my goal, I don't want to go back there. sounds like you have a plan....let us know if we can help ya!

If any one can help me with understanding fitday.com that would be great because it said I burned 3062 Calories total just today so I don't know if I'm eating enough...or if that's the way it's supposed to be... I think others have responded to this already....I don't use fitday.com but if you still need help, let me know.

That's still good Shell,
No gaining is a good thing
Remember it was 4 lbs last week no, no loss or gain last week too...and 3 lost the week before.... so you can't expect to do that every week.... I know....
You're still our queen of the weight loss board... hehehe... thanks!
Will be interested in what your PT has you do different than what you are doing now. I don't know...she told me last night that #1 goal is weight lose and then we start with the "Lean Path" = Learn to increase metabolism so I can lose weight once and for all. By combining cardio, resistance training and nutrition, I'll be slimmer, trimmer and stronger. I can't wait.... and I just love this girl who is going to be helping me....we TOTALLY click.... that is the reason I took the cycling class too...she was the instructor and asked me to join her. She even asked me what time I was gonna be at the gym on Sunday so we could work out together (free)..... she is my age...and just such a POSITIVE person...she is contagious!!

Thanks Auntie Kandee for taking the time out to comment on my report...it means a lot to get feed back.

...you need even more calories than a grown woman to grow. I'm currently searching for several articles I found that promote this, so I'll post them when I find them.

My sister is 15. She and I have the same body types, which means we are naturally average, but definitely can gain weight easily. She doesn't count calories and doesn't overindulge, but she'll have dessert when she eats out. I admire her healthy attitude about food. Just for kicks, I added up her calories for a day and she eats over 2500. She is on the varsity dance team in HS, but even if you're not that active, I would recommend eating 1800+ calories of healthy, clean food.
