Girls,
What do you snack on? I am trying to think of low calories snacks to keep in my desk- I suppose mini bags of pretzels are a good plan and otherwise fruit..Just looking for ideas!
Thanks,

Applesauce cups are a favourite of mine. As is Melba toast spread with a bit of peanut butter. I also like Vegetable Thins crackers.

Thanks Alicia. Would you believe we don't have applesauce cups here so I eat babyfood pureed fruits instead, any time I might have had a yogurt or dessert before.

I LOVED the applesauce cups when I was in the US but they are just not sold here at all. What are vegetable thins?

Hope you are feeling less discouraged now than earlier (or was that yesterday?)

Vegetable thins are a "biscuit" as you would call them. They're a cracker made by I think Mr. Christie. I am still feeling pretty dumpy, but I got a good 45 minute cardio workout in today so I don't feel like a total slob. I'm tired of complaining. I just want this to work. Y'all are going to get sick of me!

Hi Sinead,
When I was in the UK, I used to snack on those little fruit cups with peaches and pears in juice.
I also would eat pretzels, and those Caramel flavour rice cakes (55 calories, methinks).
I can't remember if they have these in the UK but my favourite thing to snack on right now are Arrowroot cookies. They are only 30 calories each! They really help my tummy calm down, too, if I am feeling really nauseous.
And of course Apple Bake Bars!! Oh how I miss applebake bars!!
Good luck!

Melba toast with hummus is my favourite.

I love those applesauce cup things too but they just get too expensive. I bought a small, 1 cup size tupperware container and just fill that with either homemade or storebought applesauce and take it with me. Works really well and so much cheaper!

I have a set o9f smaller tupperware- .5, 1 and 1.5 cup sizes and I use those for things like applesauce to take to work, etc.. and just buy the larger bottles.

I've found those- Del Monte Frutini

those Caramel flavour rice cakes (55 calories, methinks). I had forgotten about these

Aren't they the best ever, sometimes they can be hard to get in the supermarket so I ALWAYS stock up (five boxes at at time!) If you would like a care package of some I can trade you for Luna Bars

how does it keep in the fridge, like for how long? I reckon you can probably freeze it too? The applesauce in jars here is a condiment and is WAY too sickly sweet to eat spoonfuls of.
