Good luck, Shell! You've been working hard, hopefully the scale will show it

Here I am reporting early again since it's Friday - so far today:

Breakfast - 1/2 red grapefruit, piece of homemade coffeecake, soy milk w/fiber powder
Snack - red pepper slices
Lunch - sauteed chicken breast, 1.5 pieces of baguette. Few strawberry slices (maybe 1/2 c.)
Snacks - none so far this afternoon!
Dinner Plan - Risotto and non-IBS approved meat dish (a new recipe - hope it turns out), organic non-sweetened applesauce
Dessert - I can resist the coffeecake! I can resist the coffeecake!!!

Excercise - plan to do 15-20 min on the elliptical w/5 min walking warm up and cool down. Also perhaps some ab work.

Water - not too good today. Probably close to 40 oz so far, don't want to drink any more right now or I'll get a side stitch while I work out. I'll get more post-workout and w/dinner.

Happy weekend, everyone!

Hi All!
Here is my initial reporting in for today!
Exercise: 25 minutes elliptical = 140 calories burned. Weight Lifting 20 minutes = 74 calories burned.

Food Budget = 1423

Breakfast: Sourdough English muffin w/1 tbsp of peanut butter and some strawberries and Applesauce = 311 calories

Snacks: 4 arrowroot cookies = 120 calories

So far... 431 calories.

And my Weigh In For today....

I LOST 1 LB!! I consider this a big success as in the middle of the week it looked like I had gained the three lbs I lost last week, and now I have lost a total of 4 lbs.
That leaves me 7 days to lose the additional 1 lb I need to lose to meet my goal of 5 lbs lost by March 18th.
Yay!!
Will add to this report later on, after dinner and stuff!!

Breakfast: 1 bowl cornflakes and 1 bowl honey nut cherios and light soy milk. It is so hard to take fiber in cold cereal. Snack Luna bar. Lunch: PB&J, licorice (needed energy since it was very cold and windy today), banana. Snack: handful of pretzels and cocoa pebbles marshmallow bar. Dinner: smoked salmon mashed potatoes and calzone with spinach, onion, mushroom and blue cheese. Gave myself a treat of some blue cheese. Need to do sit ups tonight before bed as I have been too tired for 3 nights. Worked 2 hours in the bitter cold.

I LOST FOUR POUNDS (So that is a total of 70 lost since May 28th)

I have already reached my FIRST goal that was to lose 40 pounds by Fall Sprawl! My SECOND goal was to lose an additional 20 for a total of 60 by Fall Sprawl.... which I did. My THIRD goal was lose another 20 for a total of 80 by January 31, 2005...but that did not happen....

So, I now have a NEW goal... I want to lose an additional 23 for a total of 90 pounds by April 30, 2005.....

way to go Shell, last weigh in report of yours I read you had hit a plateau so I am delighted that you are losing and so much, 4lbs is a LOT to shed in a week and takes a lot of hard work so CONGRATULATIONS.

I am going back to the gym this week as long as my cold/yuckiness clears up. I am going to a friend's wedding on April 30th and really want to look good in a dress that I bought for a wedding in September (can wear it as no guests in common) but I tried the dress on the other day and its a little "snug" on the @ss. I'd get away with wearing it but wouldn't feel really comfortable..so I need to tone my @ss and tummy -I am going to go to Bodytone and GYmball classes. Am considering spin but have never done it before- I think I will report in too, but am a bit too lazy to calorie count! I signed up for fitday.com on Ashley's recommendation but get lazy when it doesn't have the food I want on it!

Sorry I am ramling....congrats again and keep it up, you are such an inspiration...

The site is great Ashley, I am just LAAAAZZZZYYYYYYYY!!
But since we are both putting things up there it means that one day ALL the IBS recipe exchange foods will be up there one day,
I haven't filled it in the last 2 days as I want to give myself a chance to get better and get active before trying this, I am still exhausted. I am not going to have a weight goal I think, just a tone goal. I might book my assessment at the gym and do an "inches from my @ss" goal!

Here is the recipe . If you can handle 1T of cheese on each they are so good. I handled it just fine. I can't live without a cheese treat a couple times a year. I make the calzones with mashed potatoes wetted with chicken stock and add smoked salmon chunks and a little horseradish. It is super easy to make.

I LOST FOUR POUNDS (So that is a total of 70 lost since May 28th)

WOW, THIS IS FANTASTIC....Nice going Shell...see, you weren't on a plateau afterall.......!!!! You're doing something right, that's for sure....!!!!

Breakfast: 180 calories Chocolate Peppermint Stick Luna Bar & Water

Lunch : 296 calories Packed my own lunch agian (1/2 large roll with Tuna, FF Mayo, Garlic Powder, & Pickle Juice) & Water

Snacks during the day not in any order : 700 calories 4 Dried Strawberries Dippen In Dark Chocolate, 4oz UFO's, Roasted Nutz N' Crandberries Luna Bar & Water

Dinner: 407 calories Nice Big Bowl of Shell's Stewed Vegetable Chili Soup , Large Dinner Roll cut in half lengthwise, sprayed with CBIBS, sprinkled with garlic salt, rice parmesan cheese and toasted under the broiler & Water

Fiber Pills: 2.25 calories total

Without any more snacks at all....(subject to change) = 1592.25 calories
