21 points (that includes my popcorn snack tonight). Under budget today! Plus I did 30 minutes of cardio (new exercise tape) while the kids were napping. Shell - did you see? I lost 1.6 pounds last week. YEH! There'll be no stopping me now.... I'm going to see this through!!!

Hi all!
Okay, I forgot to report in yesterday and the day before 'cause I was just insanely busy, but I DID stay under my calorie budget.

Exercise: 1 hour elliptical machine and 10 minutes ab workout = 360 calories burned!

Food Budget: 1569

Pre-Breakfast: 4 arrowroot cookies = 120 calories

Breakfast: Sourdough English Muffin w/1 tbsp peanut butter = 264 calories

Lunch: Kinda missed lunch 'cause of exam - had snack of 30 g of pretzels and applesauce = 203 calories

Dinner: Going out to the pub for dinner, where I can only eat the chicken souvlaki so I guess that's what I'm having!

So far.. 587 calories, which means I still have 982 calories left in my budget for chicken souvlaki and maybe a snack later.

Water: I should have 80 oz a day, so far today I have had.. 64 oz. I always drink a TON of water when we go for dinner 'cause it's all I drink when we go out, so I'm sure I'll get up to 80 oz.

So a good day today!
Cheers all!

toast, cream of wheat with raisins for B. Accidentally bought one non-light soy milk last week so cals and fat are a little higher for 3 days. PB&J and banana for lunch. Luna bar snack pre-workout. Worked out at rehab, weights and 26 min hard treadmill. Banana and 1 kashi waffle (sort of burnt ) for snack. I was busy at dinnertime and ate a boca burger on a pita and a spinach stuffed potato- just a few bites- while broiling DH's lambugers. So I ate standing up by the oven. Dessert-a cocoa pebbles marshmallow treat . Didn't drink enough today I am sure. Better get some more beverage right now!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Ok people. I officially did a terrible, terrible job today. I will not even horrify you with what I ate. And it's 10 o'clock and I just now got home to eat dinner...

Well, I went to the gym twice this week. Monday I was so tired and completely sick and didn't go. But I did go Tues/Wednesday.

I didn't keep track of what I ate because I don't eat 100% IBS safe (I know naughty naughty )

Is it ok if I report what I eat even if it's not safe...I don't want anyone to ask me a million times - "Can we eat bologna" LMAO

I say report away!

If people start asking a million questions.. ie is milkshakes with extra whipped cream safe (LMAO too) you can just put a disclaimer on top of your whole report saying
*NOT IBS SAFE*

TGIF!!! It's been a loooong week. Here's Thursday:

Breakfast - 1/2 red grapefruit, chuck of baguette, 1 c. vanilla soymilk w/fiber powder (this seems to work better for me than 1 full serving of oatmeal - Casey I have yet to try just making a half serving - maybe this weekend). The usual breakfast beverage
Snack - ~1 c. sliced fresh strawberries (could have used some sugar but I resisted)
Lunch - shrimp and veggie stir-fry (AGAIN), 2 slices baguette
Snack - Quaker Chewy granola bar - Choc chip (only ate about 3/4 - wasn't as hungry as I thought. Yay me for stopping when I was full for once!! )
Dinner - leftover sauteed chicken breast, artichoke risotto (Shell it is Trader Joes), red pepper slices.
Dessert - 1 serving strawberry-rhubarb coffeecake (hmm, perhaps not IBS safe), 1.5 mugs of decaf w/the works.

Excercise - 1 hr pilates tape

Water - WAY better I believe I may have hit 80 oz today!

I was supposed to go out to dinner but it was quite snowy so we postponed - so I was able to get in a workout. I figure I probably saved myself quite a few calories by eating my boring chicken instead of a restaurant meal, so I don't feel too terrible for eating the coffeecake. Plus I bought fresh strawberries and rhubarb and they were going to go bad if I didn't bake SOMETHING
