HELP!
Ive had IBS my whole life, and i KNOW what an attack feels like, but recently I have been feeling a different kind of pain, its when I have to go to the bathroom, I go and it starts out normal, but then its like my colon goes into overdrive and starts spasming, (Just my colon, like the pain is in my lower back and deep down in the front of my intestines,) It's like a really really urgent feeling, but it keeps flaring up even long after I have gotten everyhting out. The pain is so bad , its a dull burning ache. almost like I got a real bad sunburn on my colon! Not to be funny but I cant describe it any better than that. Or you knwo the pain you get when you have a bladder infection, that constant burning feeling,? Yeah that would be it. It's debillitating. It always hits me in the mornigs whe I wake up and use the bathroom, it makes me late for work alot because it only seems to start just as I am getting ready to leave, almost around 630 every morning. (got to give it credit for being timley)
I just had a million tests run and as usual nothing showed up, my doctor said to just keep taking my benefiber and my bentyl. But those arent WORKING!!! I feel like no one can help me, I have fibromayalgia, could that be a casue of this? I hope someone can help.

Firstly, the best place for this post would actually be the "Eating For IBS" forum as that's where all IBS and symptom related and diet queries go. But never mind.

Yep, the Fibro could be making whatever this is worse.

Did your doctor do a rectal exam? Because one thing that comes to mind is hemms - they can be pretty darn horrible! Or a fissure. Either of which is diagnosed by a doctor exam.

Are you following this diet or not?

I Do have Hemmeroids I have had them since I was a little baby (yeah Ive ALWAYS had this problem) They could be like vericose veins maybey? I do try to abide to the diet as much as possible, but recently start sneaking wheat back into my diet, maybey thats it. I cant get used to not eating wheat though, Ive always heard anyhting but wheat is horrible for you.

I really think it would be super if you posted this on the Eating for IBS Diet Board as so many people read that board...this is the fitness board and no everyone comes here.

That being said...have you had your liver function and kidneys checked? Sounds like it might be a good idea...

Welcome to the boards *hugs*
