So far a good day. Crumpet for breakfast, wrap with hummous and tomato soup for lunch and I will have baked salmon with cous cous or rice salad for tea.

Only had a few snacks so far.

Exercise - did one hour of intense Pilates class (ouch). Kept going even though I felt sick, which I normally don't do. It was very satisfying!

Hello again, I am reporting for today early since I know I won't be online over the weekend.

Breakfast - oatmeal made w/vanilla soy milk, cinnamin, golden raisins. OJ w/fiber. Coffee w/c&s.
Snack - red pepper sticks
Lunch (eating as I type Feeling kinda full and bloated already and I am only about 1/4 done) - Turkey and swiss on whole wheat w/spinach and mustard (I feel like a broken record! Not much variety in my lunches)
?Snack - If I am hungry before my "workout" I will have a banana
Dinner - hmm, not sure but could be another omelet night (just egg whites this time, with the rest of my red pepper, asparagus, mozz, and spinach) Also some toast or hash browns.
?Dessert - maybe I can convince myself A) not to have any, or B) that raspberries make a fine dessert

Excercise - plan to do at least 25 minutes walking, hope at least 20 minutes of that will be at a faster pace, if my foot and its tendonitis are agreeable. Decided not to push it and will wait to try the elliptical again until Monday. Hope to also have motivation to do series of crunches and some butt/legg ball excercises.

Water - so far I've done crappy - haven't even finished my 1st 20 ozer. Blame it on this AM's staff mtg. I'm shooting for at least 50 oz before I leave work today and more post-workout.

Hello all!
Okay, I am determined to have a much better day today. I got a good sleep last night and I was really worried about that since usually I can't sleep without Adrian. Ooh, this is also good 'cause I was so worried about him working shifts and I'd never sleep again!! Hee hee.
Anyway, today I want to get the elliptical done and I am going to work on my buns, abs, and stretching section of my 10 Minute Solutions DVD (it's wicked).
I also have LOADS of homework to do so I will just have to nose to the grindstone.
BUT this morning was my weekly weigh in....

I HAVE LOST 3 LBS!!! WOO HOO!!
My goal is to lose 5 LBS by March 18th, so that means I still have 14 days to lose 2 lbs - and not gain any!! I seem to lose a few lbs, and then go right back up. Wish me luck!!
My full report for today will come later!

Hi guys!
Just wanted to report in quickly:
I just did 1 hour on the elliptical and did abs and buns exercises for 10 minutes each and then a 10 minute 'power stretch' - yay for me!
So now I need to get down to the homework, and I'll post my food report in later.
I am so glad I got it all done and out of the way, yay for me!
Man I'm hungry now... Hee hee.

sounds good- they had rolls, I had safe bread (the rolls Zack picked up weren't safe, but I feed him so often we make him bring things) and salads for them and then baked apple.. I figured the tomato paste, and apple were my fruit/vegetable category tonight... so yes- add a baked apple to my food intake

I GAINED ONE POUND (So that is a total of 66 lost since May 28th)

I have already reached my FIRST goal that was to lose 40 pounds by Fall Sprawl! My SECOND goal was to lose an additional 20 for a total of 60 by Fall Sprawl.... which I did. My THIRD goal was lose another 20 for a total of 80 by January 31, 2005...but that did not happen....

So, I now have a NEW goal... I want to lose an additional 23 for a total of 90 pounds by April 30, 2005.....

I'm really having a hard time losing weight...I've been losing and gaining this crazy 4 pounds back and forth since the middle of November... but the cool thing is my body fat percentage keeps going down and my clothes keep getting bigger...so, I must be doing something right!! LOL I've kicked my workouts up a notch this week, and I'm ADDING a STEP class this Sat morning... so, hopefully this plateau will come to an end soon!!

Hi Shell,
It sounds to me like you did kick-butt today! You were TOTALLY under your food budget!
Sorry if you are feeling discouraged about reaching a plateau in your weight loss, but I am sure that it is only temporary! And if you are noticing other differences in your body, you know you are still doing an awesome job!!
Keep up the good work!!
**big hugs**

Hi guys!!
So here is my report, as promised.
Exercise: 60 minutes on elliptical = 284 calories burned. Sit ups, legs and buns exercises and stretching = 159 calories burned.
That makes my food budget: 1652!

Breakfast: Cherry Covered Chocolate Luna Bar and Fruitsation Mango Applesauce = 273 calories

Lunch: 2 slices white bread with fajita chicken deli meat and a few pretzels = 295 calories

Dinner: Indian - Chicken Tikka w/plain rice and half a naan bread. = 432 calories

Snack: UFO and some jellybeans = About 175 calories

For a total of... 1175 - WELL within my food budget, but actually a little lower than I would like to be.

Water: I am supposed to have 80 oz of water today and I think I had about 90-95 oz so it's all good!!

Cheers!!

sounds liek your gaining muscle, I wouldn't worry about the pounds, though I have noticed you are eating much lower amounts then your total allowed some days.. be careful you don't put your body in starvation mode- that will make you gain no matter what.

*HUG* but it sounds like your on the right track.. muscle mass weighs more then fat so you are probably losing inches without losing pounds right now... and increasing your metabolism because of it! see my seperate post for my good news!

Foodies:
*porridge with blackcurrant jam and half peach
*soy yoghurt
*muffin with basil tofu & roast veg chutney
*slice of lemon drizzle cake
*slice of chocolate cherry cake
*banana
*takeaway curry- veg jalfrezi, aloo gobi, pilau rice & naan (only ate half the curry, so it was high in SF).

exercise:
*cycling- naybe 12 miles total, 7 or so off road, in the dark & snow...a lot of it pushing. To give you a better indication of what the weather was like, today's exercise is mainly cleaning mud off the bike.

According to the internet, my bmr is 1400, and I am very active, so am allowed up to 2600 kcal per day to maintain weight- no wonder I feel like I'm constantly eating!

Hi,

Both me, Tara and all the animals are fine. Leo (my cat) is finally getting back to his usual self, although the chemotherapy is still making him a bit ill and we have put him on a high energy diet to bulk him up!

Lucy (the puppy) is lovely, although she was definately NOT the star of the show at puppy school this morning. The problem is that she is not that interested in food, even though we didn't give her any breakfast before we went.

I can see from your posts that you have been doing well both migraine and IBS wise and I hope (fingers crossed) that it continues.

I reckon everyone on this board deservesa break and be allowed to be HEALTHY FOR ONCE!!

It's not like we don't all work really hard towards it.

Anyway, take care and hopefully we'll see you around on the boards.

Catherine

I'm trying to maintain and not lose and I can't seem to do it.. I used ot have no problem, but then I got my dieting under control and my tummy under control and now I feel like I'm always eating and I still can't get enough calories in and I'm way low on my daily mileage for what I should be by summer... I think I'm going to try to fnd some caloric drinks to start using- amazake and maybe some gatorade type stuff (I'll test on Monday AM's when I have the day off and DH won't be around to deal with my crankiness)
