Here's a silly (personal) question...(Don't read if offended easily)

So I was playing around with my little Diet and Exercise Assistant and noticed that under 'Other Activities' in the exercise section, 'Sex' is listed. Along with chopping wood... which I thought was particularly funny, but I don't know why...
Anyway, does anyone actually count this as caloric burning activity?! Hee hee. I can just imagine, "C'mon honey, I was 60 calories over today so we've got some time to put in before we go to sleep"!! Ha ha ha.
If that counts, every day I've said I haven't had any exercise than I have. If I could just build my exercise program around that, I'd be all set, hee hee, just kidding.
I just found this really funny.. and then slightly disappointing. Like an hour of sex only burns 115 calories! What a let down! If I _were_ to build my program around that, I'd never leave the house! Well.. not that I leave the house much now.. Oh, Adrian.. <jk>
It's late, I'm tired and easily entertained... I'll probably read this tomorrow and think, "How the heck did I get talking about that??"
Cheers!

it is calories used since it takes energy.. and they are calculating on plain simple motion, all that excess movement some of us do, and moving around, etc counts as calories too.. hard to calculate though.

ROFL... oh Steph you crack me up! I'm going to say that to my boyfriend tonight! haha

Btw, I've been fitday-ing sex for a while. The numbers fitday uses are even more dissapointing though:
Sexual activity, General, moderate effort = 9 cals/30 mins
Sexual activity, Active, vigorous effort = 14 cals/30 mins

Oh well, just have to keep at it I guess. LOL

How many calories in five minutes? LOL

Has anyone noticed their exercise performance is better after sex? This does not work for men I don't think.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
