STILL going through a flare...thought I was doing a bit better yesterday (got up at noon okay) but then felt like utter c**p this morning...I've got a temp job starting MOnday and have heaps to do so this isn't great.

So today I forced myself to get off the couch at lunchtime...and had 2 cups of coffee and about a ton of sugar to get going. Now I'm awake, but my tummy hurts and I've got major jitters. Plus, I STILL want to go to sleep. Any ideas?

I'm really not sleeping well, but my doc won't give me anything. Benadryl, etc just makes me sleepy and makes my stage 4 sleep even worse. Herbal remedies don't seem to touch me (tho I'm gonna get some valerian tomorrow and try that again). I need SLEEP! Grr. Gonna see a specialist soon (if I remember to make the apt) and am hoping he'll give me ambien for flares. In the meantime I have no idea what to do. I'm trying to drink water (not as much as I should as I'm asleep so much) and when I am up I'm moving about.

Ok...here's my advice. Take what you like and leave the rest.

No more caffeine or sugar. Go to bed at the same time at night and wake up the same time in the am. Drink gobs of water and herbal tea. Eat fruits instead of sugar. Eat IBS safe whole grains and soups to get your veggies. when you get up in the am do yoga right away. this will get your day started. then drink water and tea and have beakfast.

Before going to sleep at night I lower the lights in the house and do yoga again. then I meditate for like 3 minutes and go to bed.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me. I can only say this is helping me. I do not wake up hardly ever in the middle of the night and my sleep is great. I feel excellent. That's all I know.

In any case...I hopeyou feel better soon. You deserve it Linz *hugs* i am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers....and hoping things will just get better and better for you. With love, Ruchie

Okay...2moro will be no coffee or sugar. I'll try doing the yoga first thing...it's been a week+ since I did anything more than fall on the couch after feeding the dogs.

Today was a particularly bad day. At least I got the referral...my GP's pretty hopeless.
