Hi everyone - I am looking for some advice I have been doing quite well for a while (I have IBS-C that is moslty just assiciated with pain). My only concern is that it becomes quite bad when I am stressed. I can tell that all of my stress goes there. I need to be able to deal with this! Do any of you have any advice for me as to how to prevent stomach aches in stressful situations (aka funerals and public speaking) Thanks and hope you are all well!

Danielle

Hey Danielle! Have you ever considered the hypnotherapy program that's offered here on the site? I haven't tried it, but I've heard of people having amazing results with it. Something like that seems like the best option for long-term management of stress-related symptoms. My only other thought is medication, which has helped me quite a lot with my anxiety-related problems.

You might want to post this on the IBS Diet board... you'll likely get more of a response over there, as not a whole lot of people come to the Fitness board regularly.

Hope this helps!
