I am doing good at eating a bit more and exercising more... today I broke up the ice on the part of the driveway we didnt' clear since I didn't make the gym and I wanted the drive as clear as possible for the people coming to look at the house.. and I swept, swiffered and mopped the ENTIRE house... and did laundry and moved that around and dishes and some other housework and went for a walk in the cold...

tomorrow I am going to go look at houses, but I may pack some clothes and do a slow bike ride on lunch (can't get sweaty as I can't shower until after we go out with realtor) and Sunday I'll be back on the Bike at work... Sun, Mon and Weds this coming week at least.. if I don't get Thurs or Fri in as well...

I am not counting calories except that I lost weight without trying (7 pounds) even with eating 6 times a day so am trying to add some more carloric foods or eat a bit more and seem to be doing ok at that so far... we'll see what happens.. I don't mind the weight loss, but I need to up my caloric intake if I'm upping my exercise level as much as I am planning on doing. I'll be increasing mileage again this week for the daily rides, and again next week, then probably start 2-3 days of that level and one of more increasing that last days amount as well as sometimes the other days a bit... to start getting my stamina up there... and that means more calories burned... and I am not that heavy.. just a bit more then I'd like to be.. I wouldn't mind losing another 5/10 pounds but I don't want to lose it because I'm not eating enough and put a dent in training... so I may have to start counting calories expended and calories intaken, and I'm starting to calculate that but not quite ready to go there yet.

No report for me for today... I was on the road most of the day, and didn't keep track. I was mostly good, though - way low on calories, and didn't eat fruit/veggies, but I didn't eat anything bad, either... so I'm looking on the bright side!

Ok, I'm going to start trying to do this! I need to exercise more and drink more water, and try for more fruits/veggies.

breakfast: toasted plain bagel with homemade pumpkin butter
over the course of the day at work: cup of unsweetened appleasauce, two applesauce muffins, plain bagel with peanut butter and seedless strawberry jelly
Dinner: pasta with garden combination tomato sauce, handful of arrowroot cookies

water: 44 oz

exercise: walked to work and home from work, which is 20 minutes each way, carrying my laptop bag which weighs somewhere between 5 and 10 lbs.

Need more fruits and veggies, I know, any ideas?

...have been hard for me too, but this is what I've done so far:

I always have fruit with breakfast, usually some canned peaches.
I try to eat a banana as a snack every day - that works good for someone on the go.
I make myself eat a separate veggie for dinner, even if I'm eating something like pasta that has a vegetable-based sauce.
I'm eating less pasta over all, and eating more potatoes and sweet potatoes, since those count as veggies too!

I don't know if any of that is helpful, but I hope so.

I'm heading to grocery store tonight anyway, so I'll try to pick up some potatoes and maybe some more frozen veggies for dinner and some canned fruit while I'm there!
