Hi Guys

Just thought I'd come in and say that I'm still using Oxypowder every other day and my C problem is history!!!!

I feel better than I've felt in years and years and yes I'm still following Heather's guidelines for my IBS.

Hope you are feeling better with YOUR IBS.

I thought oxypowder was a harsh laxative?

When did you begin taking the Donnatal, and how do you feel it is working for you?
I have a prescription for it but never filled it because I am afraid it will bve like the hyoscamine(levsin,nulev)- that medicine did terrible things to my vision, and constipated me very very badly- Plus I had to take so much of it that it knocked me out.
Curious though as to what you think of the Donnatal.

Hi, I am new to the board.I use Oxy powder for C and am delighted with it.Nothing and I mean nothing else worked for me.I have been using it for about six months and take two capsules every day.
I have gluten intolerance as well as IBS.Does anyone have any experience of this and anything helpful to encourage me with? I live in France where little is available, but am doing well on rice, fish and chicken with a little veg.

Donnatol is the same thing as Levsin except it also has a mild tranquiller in it!! If you take more than 2-3 a day, it will blur your vision. It will also give you dry mouth. I wouldn't say it works great by any means but I think it does help a little. I only really use it when I'm in a lot of pain. It can cause C if taken regulary. I think these things are true for pretty much ALL the anti-spasm medication

Taking it one day at a time.....

Great idea!! I am an IBS-C person as well, and I HATE IT. I'm always bloated, in constant pain, and look 7 months pregnant by nighttime. I think we all need to band together!

Hi. I'm also IBS-C. I've had a chronic problem with C even before I developed IBS.

I find that too much rice and/or rice products can worsen your C. I tryo to keep my rice intake to a bar eminimum.
