I just finished lunch I had a pita - it had turkey, toms, and lettuce.I'm having such a bad pain under my left rib, the worse it's ever been. It's hurting SO badly, I feel like crying. It feels like the pita is stuck there .. ouch! I'm at work, so it's not like I can get up and leave
I hope it subsides soon

Was it the lettuce? Or did you eat to much? That is where my pain is and it's usually from unsoluble fiber or eating too much. I hope you feel better soon. Deep breathing may help and sit up straight even though it usually feels better to slouch!

Can you take a 10 minute walk - you know, instead of a smoke break, it's a walk break? Can you drink some hot peppermint or fennel tea?
I second the suggestion to sit up straight. If you know some seated yoga twists, that might help matters a bit but I would be very gentle with them.

You need Heather's peppermint caps or some Hyoscyamine, maybe even Donnatal. Didn't your doctor give you an antispasmodic? If not, call him.
The most likely culprit was the turkey -- I'll bet it was dark meat. Was there mayo on the pita? Perhaps you're not ready for lettuce yet.
Any stress goin' on with you right now?
Are you near a pharmacy? Call them and see if they have any Equalactin in stock. WalMart or Walgreen's may have it. It's not an antispasmodic, but it does tend to calm the tummy down if the spasms aren't severe.
Feel better soon --
Bev
