Hey again

I wish I could stop by more often, but with all the movig and stuff, I havent had much internet time at all.

But something is bothering me...for about the span of a month(since my doggie passed), I see to be awfully gassy most days and I am noticing I get D at least once a week, usually on a Sunday morning and Im pretty crappy feeling the rest of the day...I'm not straying too far from a base of foods because with all the stuff that needs to be done, I dont want to go and derail the train, so to speak.

The D isn't too bad. Not a lot of buring(which I still am unsure if its the IBS or the persistent hemmoroid-I have yet to get to the clinic-but I think it might be both) unless I have to go more than 2-3 times. But its weird because my usual timely morning BM is fine, but an hour later-BAM!

I usually hit an Immodium right away just in case, but what could be causing this? Im still doing my CDs, but I miss session here and there and have to keep going back. I dont feel too stressed, but I dont know how my subconscious is reacting.

Beyond that, my IBS is going ok. I had some chicken lo-mein(no MGS) and white rice Friday night and was fine (a little gassy, but thats how Ive been all of two weeks now). And Ive been able to eat some canned peaches (there is a lite kind that has nothing articifical but the peaches and their juices). I had some Edy realfruit strawberry bars, but they have seeds, so I havent had another in weeks. But the rest is my chicken and rice and peas, chicken breast, fish, baked potatoes (no skin), rice...nothing special.

Should I use another gas preventer than GasX? Maybe Ive gotten immunte to it or something.

Hi, Joseph, good to see you! Gee, that is odd about getting D once a week like that. You're sure you don't eat something different? Is Sunday extra stressful for some reason? What day of the week did your dog pass? It might be an anniversary reaction. Just a thought.

Hope you figure it out. In the mean time how about taking a couple Imodium Saturday night as a preventive? Just a thought.

Good luck!!

Im thinking about doing the Immodium thing...or at least a peppermint cap or something to be sure.

Now, my dog passed on a Thursday. If it was food, I could track it, but it's been something different each time the night prior. I was thinking maybe its just Sunday is kinda when the whole week gets processed in my head because the week is usually busy and Saturday is just kind of a relax and get stuff around the house done kind of day. Sunday is like a reboot of my head and maybe that's what's doing it.

I know, it's incredibly strange and I cant figure it out. very odd.

Joseph, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.

I tried fennel tea after reading about it on this site and it really has done wonders for gas/bloat. I drink it before going to bed at night. Even so, I have a similar cycle as you and have often wondered why. If I had to guess, I think that it's because my routine is not in place on the weekend (I eat so regularly during the week, but not the weekend. Another thought -- drinks on Saturday night or smoky clubs/parties could be an irritant.

Take care.

Joseph, are you on a SFS? How much? Have you been increasing it? This same thing happened to me when I increased mine to the max dosage (without realizing it). As soon as I cut back on the dosage, all my urgent D, extreme, EXTREME gas and bloating went away completely.

If you have your SFS with your morning tea, that would explain the D after your first solid "performance." But that constant gas? It was my SFS!

That might be it, it happens with migraines, people get them on the weekend as kind of a stress let down effect from the work week. I hope you can get stable enough to break the cycle and make it through your weekends okay!!

Just a question: you said you usually have your daily BM just fine when you get up in the am and then an hour later, BAM (I think those were your exact words Anyways, that's kind of what happens to me. If I'm going to have an attack it's within the 1st 2 hours in the am; my first couple of BM's are fine and then the spasms hit. Bevrs suggested the fact that my stomach may be too empty having gone all night without anything. She suggested eating something before bed and perhaps when I wake up in the night and 1st thing in the am. So the last couple of nights I have a couple of saltines before I go to bed and then a couple during the night and a couple when I 1st get up. My stomach is usually kind of touchyin the am, so I have to force the crackers down, but the last 2 mornings it seems to have helped. Just a suggestion. Good Luck--Janene
