I've been thinking that I should go and see a Nutrionist because I need to make sure that I'm getting enough protein, Fibre etc. Anybody have any thoughts on this Thanks Georgette

You should definitely go! I have gone and they put me on a no wheat; dairy elimination diet for 1 month (I am 1/2 way thru it) and I feel really good! Also, they will look at your day to day diet and point out where you might have deficiencies and or allergies! Well worth it!

Hi, I agree with Christianne! I saw a nutritionist for about 3 months and she was very helpful. I no longer feel the need to see her because I know I'm eating a healthy diet even with IBS. I would go back to her in a minute, though, if I had a problem as I found her to be invaluable.

I agree with both Christianne and Barb. I have seen a nutritionist a couple of times with respect to IBS and other nutritional issues. They were VERY helpful in helping me determine what was wrong and what I should eat, etc.
Good luck!

Is a nutritionist the same thing as a dietician? I went to a dietician but it was a lousy experience (she looked completely blank when I said I was suffering from diarrhea).
Did I just choose a lousy one?
Thanks, CJ
