Yes, I tried Teeccino. Hubby and I both HATED it. However, I sent the remainder of the stuff to Heather so she could try it, and she and Will both loved it. Also, Kree loves it too. So obviously I'm out-numbered.
However, it really boils down to personal preference. If you really crave the TRUE taste of coffee, then you will be disappointed with Teeccino. I had a 42-year addiction to strong black coffee -- no flavored stuff for me! -- and Teeccino most definitely did not come close.
However, I did discover SoyFee! OMG! This stuff tastes EXACTLY like coffee -- EXACTLY. SoyFee is made by Soy Coffee Roasters in New York City, and they offer many flavors: Original Roast, Dark Roast, House Blend, Almond Amaretto, Mocha, Hazelnut, French Vanilla, and Chai. I've tried the Original Roast, Dark Roast, and Mocha. So far, my fave is Original Roast -- but I have an order coming for the French Vanilla, Chai and House Blend. I have a feeling House Blend might be my new fave.
One gal on the Boards here liked the French Vanilla best, while another gal preferred Dark Roast. It's just personal preference.
However, the bottom line is: IT TASTES AND SMELLS JUST LIKE REAL COFFEE! I SOOOOO love this stuff. I drink it all the time. It is totally AMAZING. It AIDS DIGESTION, lowers blood cholesterol levels, promotes gastrointestinal health, prevents bone loss and slows the advancement of osteoporosis, promotes healthy menopause (yaay!), fights heart disease, promotes healthy prostrate, and PREVENTS CANCER, PARTICULARLY COLON, rectal, and breast cancer!
Now tell me, what else could you possibly ask for?
You can check it out yourself online: web page
I have one complaint about SoyFee -- only one, but it's a biggie: it's hard to get. I've waited WEEKS for my order to come. I've e-mailed the company, asking where my order is, they don't answer my e-mail, I get frustrated, etc. You can't find it at any HFS. I tried to get my local HFS to carry it, but they have red tape issues. Thankfully, the SoyFee company gave me the name of the closest market to me that carries the stuff -- but it's almost in the next state! Anyway, I called them, and they do carry it (although not the 5-lb. bags, only the 10-ounce size), so that's who I'm ordering it from now. I should get my order in 4 days.
Shipping is expensive; it costs as much as one 10-oz. bag. SO, what I'm going to do is this: once I decide which flavor I like best, I'm going to order two 5-lb. bags. All orders over $100 are free of shipping charges. The bags are vaccuum-sealed, so they'll last in the pantry forever.
Okay, was that too much information, or WHAT?! Sorry. I just love this stuff SOOOO much.
Bev

Thanks for suggesting the Soyfee. I received my order yesterday and brewed a pot last night. I liked it much better than the Rocamojo. It definitely tastes like real coffee. And I had 2 cups with no problem! For some reason, the Rocamojo always caused me to have small attacks. I only used to have one cup of coffee a day, but that's the thing I have missed most since starting this diet. Thanks again!

I guess I should be thankful that the HFS just 10 mintues from my house had Soyfee! I got a 10 oz. bag of Hazelnut Soyfee for $9.51.

Lucky YOU! So all you pay is $9.51? No shipping and handling charges! What a BARGAIN!
So which is your favorite flavor? Original Roast here.
ENJOY!

I'm so glad you like it! I'm not surprised though.
What flavor did you get? Yeah, it really DOES taste like real coffee -- isn't that amazing? Totally satisfies the coffee cravings. And it's healthy for us too! We can drink as much as we want, no problems at all.
We're happy campers, ain't we?!

I have GOT to try this soyfee stuff! I saw the Rocamojo at the store but have not tried it yet. They're both 100% soy, but what is the difference you think? Why is the soyfee getting such rave reviews and the Rocamojo not? I cannot wait to try the soyfee; I haven't had coffee since February, and I just spent a week on vacation with Starbucks fanatics. I had to smell that tempting stuff all week!
Oh, boy, I can't wait to hold a warm mug in the morning - that's just as comforting as actually drinking the contents!

Hi Bev- I just got the original roast. I'm not much into flavored coffees, so I think I will stick with the original. It's so nice to brew a pot of coffee on the weekend and drink as much as I want. Thanks again for the info! Ann Marie

I'm not sure what the difference is, maybe in the way they roast it. But I definitely prefer it to Rocamojo, especially since I always had problems after drinking the Rocamojo. But I can drink 3 cups of the Soyfee and no problems whatsoever!
