Does rice milk cause problems like soymilk does? Also in recipes that call for soymilk can rice milk be substituted?

I use rice milk most of the time, simply because the soy milks I like have gluten in them and the ones that don't, I don't like the taste! I'm gluten intollerent.
Rice milk works fine in cooking for me, except with rice pudding where you really need soy milk. Hope this helps.

I've done well with rice milk - I think it tastes better than soy milk and it tends to do well in most recipes that call for milk - I've used it before to make lipton side dishes that call for milk mixed with the sauce powder and it seemed to do it's thing. Good luck!

As for causing problems, some people do tolerate it better than soy milk. So it might be worth a try! I usually drink rice milk because I like the milder taste but use soy in cooking, so I can't help you with that area! But it looks like you got some great answers already.
