I was just wondering. Usually I do apple sauce b/c i prefer it to apricot jam, which is too sweet unless I really want something sweet. I know for a fact that peanut butter is a HUGE trigger for me. Before I even knew I had IBS I always wondered why it would send me to the bathroom every single time. I thought it was just normal, I guess, but...it makes me feel horrible. SO I guess my question is..is there anything like peanut butter that wouldn't be as much of a trigger. Do you think it's b/c of the fat or the insoluble fiber or both? All Iknow is that it SO doesn't agree with me. Thanks guys! HOpe you're having a great day!

I'm ok with a little bit of peanut butter, but I also will put seedless strawberry jam or honey on my bread instead sometimes. Have you tried soynut butter or almond butter or apple butter or something like that?

I usually eat fresh bread plain.... but sometimes I will add a very thin layer of smart balance light and some cinnamon & sugar.... Sometimes I will have a very thin layer of the soy chocolate spread I have. It is high in fat though -- so it has to be a thin layer -- and it doesn't really taste that great.

Usually I just have fresh bread plain -- or make a sweet bread like banana or zuchini.

Well, okay, so I use a little Soy Garden first. Safeway's potato rolls, split in half, miked for a few seconds, then Soy Garden in between, melting. YUM! That's my soluble fiber.

Hummous on a bagel can be pretty tasty, and if you make the hummous at home, you can control the fat level.

Apple butter is often not all that sweet. Also, there are those all-fruit jams and preserves that are not as sickly sweet as Smuckers.

But I will eat bread all by itself and like it, darn it! I am a major bread addict, er, fan. It made Passover a real pain back when I was an observant child...

Hi!

I eat a lot of bread and here's what I put on it:
macadamia and cashew butter, almond butter, apple butter, bananas, banana desert baby food, mango unsweetened jam, tofu spread, tomatoes, apple sauce, maple and apple jelly, maple spread, St-Dalfour pear jam, abricot jam, home-made guacamole (not positive it is safe, still testing it, slices of chicken breast, can't really think of something else... i think that's pretty much it,

'hope that helped!

Bye!

I always have butter from different nuts (almond, cashew, hemp, sunflower seed or pumpkin seed). But no peanut butter since it is a trigger food for me.

I use those nuts to add some fat in my diet. But I'm started to wonder if it's safe to eat nuts like that every morning??? Anyone having butter from nuts every morning???

I eat a peanut butter and seedless strawberry jam sandwich for lunch almost everyday. Now, if I eat more than one serving of peanut butter a day, I have problems, but the one sandwich a day seems to be ok.
