I find that I can handle a little bit of peanut butter from time to time, although I usually keep it to apple butter (which I just discovered), honey, strawberry jam or molasses (the Maritimer coming out in me).

Hi, I noticed that many people add sugary food on their bread (ex: apple butter, jams, honey).

I'm not able to add sugar with a meal or a snack (even a fruit). It causes me so much bloating. I have to take my fruit (safe fruit) 30 minutes before a meal or a snack to avoid bloating or gas. Anyome having the same problem?? Therefore, I never eat sugar (jams, honey, mapple syrop...) I need to avoid all sugar to reduce bloating and gas. AND it works for me!!!

Also, I'm regularly having hypoglycemia. Therefore, i need to have protein with my meals or snack or I feel dizzy and i'm too hungry... Anyone having the same problem? I would not be able to only have apple butter or jams with my bread...

I'm usually having butter from nuts (ex: almond, cashews,... no peanut butter since it's a trigger food for me) every morning to add fat and to have my protein. It seems to be OK to digest for me. But i'm starting to wonder if it's a trigger or not?? What do you think??
Byebye!!

I buy really tasty sourdough or french baguettes and then eat them plain -- the bread is so good I don't mind that it's plain. Sometimes I lightly toast them (esp. if the loaf is starting to get a little stale). Look for La Brea sourdough baguettes, they're delicious.
