I'm sorry I haven't been on in a long time! I got really cocky about my ability to control my IBS. I'm still in control of that, but it is so hard to stick to the regimen! When I was feeling bad it was easy, but now, feeling good, much harder. Especially chocolate and desserts. I can deal with soy products and no red meat, and use lots of soluble fiber in my diet most days, but my resolve is slipping and fast!!!! Help! Maryh

Welcome back, Mary. I'm new since you were here last, but I can totally relate to getting overconfident and doing myself in! We all go through that. My trick for not feeling deprived of chocolate and high fat desserts is the same as Heather's. One small piece of really good chocolate after an IBS-safe meal! Doesn't work for everybody, but that seems to be all I need to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Also, remember that Heather and this site have SCADS of yummy IBS-safe dessert recipes, like the Rice Krispie Treats and the Anti-Depressant Brownies (love that name).
Just keep posting, we'll help you keep your resolve from slipping away!
