Digestive Enzymes + antibiotics

Has anyone taken digestive enzymes and if so, did they help? Also has anyone taken antibiotics to rebalance and 'unbalanced' digestive flora?
This has been the latest approach of my gastroenterologist.
Thanks in advance for your replies,
Claire

Hi,
That really doesn't sound like much fun...antibiotics mostly unbalance the flora....at least for me!

Claire,
Personally I have found antibiotics really irritate my IBS. If I really need them for something I always take acidophilus powder at the same time to minimize their impact on my gut and I find that helps.

I did try some Dig. Enzymes which were advertised for IBS on the internet. I didn't think they helped much but everyone is different.
