Hello there.
I work in a very stressful and demanding environment that regularly requires me to stay up for late nights at work.. Now that caffeine is a NONO, what are some attentive herbs/drugs that I can take to keep me up whenever needed?? My research at this stage indicates that Gingseng and Yerba Mate are good substitutes that are not caffeinated.. Are they a good alternative and if not.... What is? Thanks a million.

I've just recently started adding Yerba Mate to my diet I like it.... it makes me feel "ALIVE" again.... I've only been using it for about a month now. I brew Heather's peppermint tea and then throw in a Yerba Mate tea bag as well.... the smell & taste of the original Yerba Mate is different... I think I've read it explained as "Earthy" ? if that helps.... as long as you sweeten it, it is good.... there are other flavors as well. I LOVE the Chai and the Peppermint one is very good too. There is also a Greener Green Tea. You will just need to experiment and see how YOUR body reacts to it. I was told by another online friend who also has IBS but does not come to this site that she drinks it all day long.... and she uses the loose. I know that Jules also drinks it.... here is a link to the thread that she started on Yerba Mate Hope this helps.... ask questions if you have any.
