I just bought a bottle of stevia...is this something that takes getting used to? It doesn't seem to sweeten anything...maybe make it more tart. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I can't offer any advice, but I just wanted to say that I think Stevia is disgusting as well. My mom uses it and said that it's "really sweet". No...I don't think it is at all. I agree with the bitterness part...I put it in coffee, and DISGUSTING!! So, yeah, I agree with you.

I bought Stevia in the little packets (like Equal or Sweet and Low) hoping to have a clearer idea as to how it sweetend my drinks and learned that it takes at least 4 drops of the liquid to equal a tsp. of sugar. Not one or two like the bottle says. I used the stevia in the bottle this morning and will save my packets for travel or dinner out. It's bearable considering the alternative...I think I'll get used to it.
