Hi Kathryn,

Yes, a soluble fiber supplement will help you alot, take it before you eat your meals so that your system has something mellow to start out with. But also center your meals around soluble fiber foods like rice and french bread. I find that bananas help as well. Keep smiling!

Kathryn - to get Heather's attention, put her name up in the subject line in Caps, type in your message, and she should respond. I still don't know kilograms vs. lbs. Do you?

Kathryn,
Hello. I am just writing to see how you are doing today. I know you have had a rough few days and wanted you to know that I was thinking about you.

My fiance is British and we will be spending our Christmas in the UK this year. How is it finding IBS friendly products over there? I still have a few boxes of Marrowfat peas to make mushy peas (got those from the mother in law last Christmas ) and work great!

Thank you and hang in there you are not alone!

Sheri
Hi, great to get your message today, although i have had a really bad week this week i have definately found some comfort in the friends i seem to have made here, your personal message was like icing on the cake (the cake i can't eat of course)!!!
My GP was great this week too and has asked to see me next week as she knows how alone i am feeling in all this.
I tried a new solution to my tiredness, headaches and anxiety last night which is acupressure plasters, dunno if you can get them in the US, but i didnt realise they make symptoms worse before better so was in a complete state and D was terrible this morning, i'm sorry to admit i gave up and took it off, maybe i will try again on a weekend as it was certainly doing something and supposed to be at its best after two days!!!
Had my first yoga session on wednesday too, which seems to have done some good until this morning, which was my fault so looking forward to that next week.
Also...psychologist on Monday and the more he gets to know me the more he can help so that is good too.
Life seems to revolve around IBS at the moment but when i get in a routine i'm sure it will be fine, things like yoga have loads of other benefits too.
Happy Valentines day by the way, hope your fiance got you something nice, white tulips from my fella which was perfect! Where in the UK is yours from?
I have heard a lot about IBS support groups in the US, is this a common thing? Certainly isnt in UK which is a shame.
Take Care
Kathryn

Hello Kathryn,

How are you doing today? A bit better than the last? I hope so and by the sounds of it you are slowly making it one day at a time and I think that is briliant!
Today has been a pretty good day except the past 2 days since that time of the month has come, has manage to slow my progress down with regulating my bm. Fingers crossed that will change again in a few days!
My fiancee lives and is from Doncaster which is in South Yorkshire. I really like it up that and in the UK for that matter, but he wants to move over here so we are working on that now.
I don't think we have those kind of plasters or if we do I have never heard of them before. As for IBS support groups, I am not sure since I have only last weekend joined the IBS world. I have an appointment with my GI doctor on the 25th and I will see what else he has to say.
I am glad that my letter to you helped and know that if you ever need to chat I am here to listen. I am sure in due time you will be able to feel like you again only healthier!

Take care of yourself! I will speak to you soon,

Sheri

PS

Happy b-lated Valentine's day to you!

Kathryn - I've been okay except I'm trying to find some soluble fiber tablets/pills to take every day that won't give me gas. I just bought Benefiber and, boy, I didn't have to use my feet to get around yesterday! Today, I tried Citrucel and it was almost as bad. My husband is getting ready to divorce me or better yet, hook me up to the car and save on gasoline! Anyway, any suggestions on another kind of daily fiber?

Thanks.

My GP is not too keen on fibre supplements, which i found a bit confusing. I have had a terribly windy weekend too, and off work Monday with craps, so just to let you know people out here know what you are going through!

dondonb90 - Haven't heard from you in a long time. Are you doing OK? You didn't seem like you were in such a good mood in Feb (the date of your post). Please let us hear from you.

Jeanne - Haven't heard from you in a while. Are you doing okay with your IBS? It seems a shame that we're so close and don't "talk" much. Hope you're feeling okeydoke. Have you been cooking lately? If so, anything scrummie?
