Hi,
I was wondering about milk and exactly what it is about that trigger IBS. Is it lactos or sth else?

Sofia,
Hey, cute puppy!
Three things in milk are triggers. Yes lactose is one of them. The second is the milk fat. The third is the actual protein molecule. Animal protein molecules are larger than vegetable sources. (Heather or anyone, if I got that wrong please correct me!)
Nice to see someone from Sweden! Isn't the Internet amazing? I see you've been a member for awhile, but I don't remember seeing you post since I joined, so hi from me!

Hi, thanks
I was wondering because I am desperately trying to gain weight and I am thinking of trying a product from Twinlab, but it contains some milk"products" - not lactos though.

What do you think about that?
Yeah, Internet is amazing and I am so glad I found this website, because it has helped a lot!

Sofia, I don't know why dairy is such a trigger, but it just IS. And it's not the lactose, because even lactose-free dairy can trigger an attack. Every doctor I've been to has told me to cut out all dairy. I ignored the first doctor -- and suffered as a result.
