I have been following the diet for a couple of months now and just cannot believe how much better I feel. Now that my intestinal tract is not in constant turmoil I have been able to isolate some of the trigger foods that are on the lists. I could not believe that eggs could be bad for you, but having cut them out of my diet for six weeks now I realize that they were one of my trigger foods and for years I did not know it. The MD's never told me about trigger foods. They just said "eat more fiber". I went for ten years without a salad because lettuce just tore me apart. Now I am able to eat just a little salad - once or twice a week. My thanks to Heather and everyone else on the board who has offered advice and encouragement.

This is fabulous news! You did it, and without any help from the doctor! Amazing, isn't it? "Eat more fiber." Duh.
I was craving salad too. Then I discovered I can have it -- even as a main meal -- if I left off the broccoli and cut out the fattening dressing, opting instead for the fat-free stuff. By the way, have you tried Marzetti's Honey Dijon Fat-Free Dressing? OOOOOOOH, BABY!
Heather, I'm proud of you. You really did great!

Awesome!! And that's great that you're finally able to eat salad again! I HATE the whole "eat more fiber" thing, why is it that every doctor says that? That's great you've been able to figure out your trigger foods.
