I have a question. I have finally controlled my IBS with my diet and peppermint caps and am starting to feel more like myself. i want to start to add things to my diet, such a cereal. I ate oatmeal and that seemed to work fine, but I miss cereal so much. I am new to the Soy world and have just started eating soy cheese on sandwhiches and bought soy milk for the first time yesterday. I am excited that I feel better but can someone please give me some brand name cereals to buy that won't bother me? When it says Rice cereal does that mean like Rice Krispies? Excuse me if I sound completely out of it this is all so new to me.
thanks Dina

I think that Heather says that things like Rice Krispies, Corn Pops, HoneyComb, Rice Chex are all safe. Check the ingredients for no dairy or High Fructose Corn Syrup. Also, there are some organic cereals like Barbara's Puffins that are wheat-free that are quite yummy too!

There are lots of posts on this - you may want to try doing a search for more.
Some are Honeycomb, Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, Crispix, Cheerios - just always double check your ingredients and you should be fine.
Don't worry - you'll get the hang of it!

I have only been doing this diet for two weeks - but I am addicted to Rice Chex and Vanilla Soy Milk...the Vanilla Soy Milk gives it a sweet taste - I eat it as a snack now!

I love millet rice that is from the health food store (I think its made by natures path), its not to sweet, full of fibre, and wheat free (i think we get enough wheat on the ibs diet and I like to incorporate new grains!)
