Before I was diagnosed by my GI, my PCP told me to take citricil. That made me much worse and my GI agreed. She says to not take it, but here everyone praises about it. I am so confused! What is going to help me..I have ibs-c?

Everyone has their preference and what works best for their stomachs. You may have to try a few to see what works best. It seems that Metamucil have the most complications with lost of gas and bloating. Good luck! I use the Acacia from this website and absolutely love it!

Also, you have to start really slow and build up gradually. You might want to read the post at the very top about Acacia and doses.

The Acacia Fiber from this site is WONDERFUL!!! No grit, no taste, no smell and IT WORKS!!! I used Citracel at first too, and it was my enemy too. Hope you feel better soon!
