Jen, this is great to know, as I was just telling my husband that I was thinking of joining WW next week. My friend lost 20# and my sister is on it too. I am out of control with my sweets for sure!! Have to have chocolate every single day, and the butt is showing it and the clothes are getting tighter by the week. Spring is coming and I am not going to be a bit happy being a CHUB! My husband thinking since I am on Heather's diet, that is all I need to do, besides exercise, which I am not good at, but I know I am overeating and need to get control of it. So thanks for the endorsement. PS I love your little characters, like the shark.

Glad it's not just me with the sugar cravings. Bev and I were talking about this and I just read another post she wrote that said after a day without sugar she found she just wasn't as hungry as she usually is! That's what I've found, too.

It's hard to make that decision to cut out the sweets, though, when you're in the cycle of eating them. Seems like life wouldn't be worth living, but it is! And here's proof:

I'M IN MY SKINNY JEANS TODAY!
(The ones I haven't put on out of sheer embarrassment for 4 months. I didn't even like to see myself in them, much less subject the world to having to look at it! But they're on today. YAY!)

Sweets and bread, Ruchie. The others are just toying with giving up sweets. I had to give up the gluten.

But it's ok. I may eat boring food, but I'm IN MY SKINNY JEANS!

You have celiac? I gave that up for 2 months last year...was tested negative...but my allergist still thinks I may have it. So I may be joining you in the world of gluten-free soon nuff...

How'd you feel when you went off of the gluten?

I've been off for a few weeks, and I feel pretty dang good, I must say.

I tested negative for celiac (the bloodtests), but since i was still having problems I think I'm getting the endoscopy and biopsy to check. I'll have to go back on the gluten first, from what I read on celiac.com, to make it worse so that it shows up on the biopsy. Ain't that a cute trick?

I guess I'll know better when I try to phase back in on the gluten. All I know is I am MUCH LESS HUNGRY now that I gave up gluten. I think I must actually be absorbing the nutrients in that food I had been eating! Like a real human! I was always SOOOOO ravenous before I quit it. I could eat and eat and eat and eat... But now I sometimes have to remind myself to eat 'cause I don't want the colon to get all empty.

What a change!

You sound just like me. My biopsy came back neg as well as my blood test...but it's not 100% accurate!

I felt MUCH better off gluten. I also went back on gluten for the testing. I am considering going back off it again with the advice of my allergist if he feels it's a good idea. I'll let you know.

Btw, do you have thyroid probs? Bruise easily? Mouth sores? Any of the other symptoms?

Oh, it IS true..you gotta be on gluten for a while for the biopsy to wok. And not just a slice of bread a day...but tons of the stuff Let me know what you decide...and if you want advice I'm here!

Hope we both figure it al out soon!

P.S. When did your fatigue start?

*hugs*
