Noisy tummy!

I am just wondering, does everyone else's belly make verbal complaints, even when you don't? My stomach is always making swishy, gurgly noises. So much so that if I am sitting with my boyfriend, he can hear it. And if I put my hand on my belly, I can feel all the swishing and bubbling and whatever it is doing.
And even if I go, "Shhh!!" it carries on, how terribly rude.
Maybe it's trying to tell me how to fix it... If only I spoke the language!

Mine does the same thing. Even if i'm feeling fine, no symptoms, no cramps, no pain. It just makes noise all of the time! Except of course when i'm at the doctors office!

Mine does the same, so if you figure out the language---please let me know.
I was at a meeting the other day with 2 people (friends, thankfully) and my tummy had a lot to say. Luckily, my friend, Charlie, also has IBS... so they totally understood my circumstance (if not what my stomach was saying).

me too! only a lot less the past couple years as i got ibs under control. it used to be a running joke with me and my hubby.

isn't it nice though, how we can commiserate woith others over the same complaints. by the way, I hated a noisy tummy when it waqs really bad. I always thought it was unsettling too much,.

My tummy talks to me all the time!! :) It can be quite embarassing when you are somewhere and it keeps voicing its opinion;especially when it is quiet. I was having my teeth cleaned at the dentists last night. The hygenist lowered the chair so I was reclining with my head lower than my body. Just relaxing when she asked a question and my tummy answered! :) She started to laugh and asked if I was hungry? no i said, already had dinner, just my tummy answering you.She knew I have IBS so it was funny.
Also when I'm laying in bed at night with hubby and my tummy will start talking and then my hubbies tummy will answer. No he does not have IBS. I believe when I lay down my stomach is trying to digest the food I've eaten.
It would be nice to know what it is saying, so we could fix it.. Sue

Yes, I have a noisy tummy too. I do deep breathing excerises & yoga at home to help calm the tummy. I notice when my mind, body, & spirit is very calm, relaxed, & stress free, I notice my tummy makes noises. It also leads me to believe that my tummy is probably ok. I am more concern when I don't hear for I feel an event is about to happen. It is funny to hear the noise.
