Is cheese really that bad if I only have a little?? I bought some rice cheese the other day but it's absolutely disgusting...I have looked for soy cheese but can't find it anywhere. If I just have a tiny bit of cheese is it really really bad??

Sorry.
Don't give up the ship though -- soy cheese is out there, and it's waitin' for ya! Okay, it's true that I can only get the good stuff at the health food store, 30 miles south of us, but it's worth the trip down there. Safeway carries shredded soy mozarella, which is great on pizza, and some sliced soy cheese (Veggie Slices) that's not very good (except the provolone, that's not bad). Again, find a good health food store near you; you'll be amazed at the large variety.
I know how you feel -- "can't I have just a tiny bit" -- yeah, I know that "tiny bit" stuff. I would kill for just a "tiny bit" of coffee right now. But the answer is NO. (I'm such a hard a-- ) The problem is "just a tiny bit" turns into "just a tiny bit more." And then "just a bit more." And then you know what? BAM! You got yourself an attack, Girlfriend!
Now maybe you're not like me (and I pray you're not!), but with me there's no such thing as "just a tiny bit."

You mean that other soy cheeses taste better than Veggie slices!?
AMEN! HALLELUIAH!
That's all I've tried and the only one that tastes good to me is the Pepper Jack. Everything else is vaguely cheesish, but not at all like the real deal.
You have made Colin verrrrry happy!

Hey Kimm,
Not sure whereabouts in Toronto you are. Try Ambrosia Natural foods http://www.ambrosianaturalfoods.com/ . It's in Thornhill and Newmarket. I haven't been but have heard great things about it. Lots of the newer Loblaws have Organic sections where you can get a pretty good selection of things. The new big one at East Mall and Burnamthorpe in Etobicoke had a pretty decent selection.
As well, there's a Whole Foods in Hazelton lanes downtown at Avenue road and Yorkville, (right near Bay subway station).

Kimm, when you do get some soy cheese you absolutely have to try Galaxy Foods Veggie Shreds! I haven't had much luck with sliced soy cheeses, but these shreds taste just like real cheese to me. They're amazing in Baked Macaroni and Soy Cheese and on mini english muffin pizzas. So don't despair! You don't need to resort to hurting yourself by eating that dairy junk!
Here's what the Veggie Shreds look like:
