Jen, about being in denial on the coffee, one of my friends has IBS and he just can't give up his coffee either. He knows he should, but he just keeps saying piteously, "Anything but that!"

No, LauraSue, I don't. I e-mailed her, but she didn't answer.
It's a little scary having someone disappear like that all of a sudden and not answering e-mails. Makes me worry a little -- no, makes me worry a lot. I don't know what else to do.
When Ruchie left the boards before, I bugged her and made her come back -- then I got to thinking, well, what if she didn't WANT to come back, you know? I don't want to bug anyone.
Yeah, Kandee was fun, and I miss her. I just hope and pray she's alright.

Yeah, I hope she's okay too. I'm sure she is. Sometimes life just gets too busy or complicated. We'll just have to keep the jokes going without her.

Please tell your friend that the sooner he gives up that coffee, the sooner he'll get better. If he doesn't give up the coffee, it ain't gonna happen.
I was SOOO in denial. I figured if I gave up the stress, gave up my job, gave up everything else and stuck with the program, I could have one vice -- my beloved cuppa joe -- but boy, was I WRONG!
I got this post from Heather: Heather's Post and the next day I went cold turkey.
If we can give up smoking -- and wasn't that ever tough! -- we can give up coffee. I had a 42-year addiction to coffee. I know it's hard. But I wanted to get better -- even harder.
Help your friend. Turn him on to Constant Comment tea (with caffeine for awhile, then they have the decaf kind) and Soy Dream Mocha Fudge (you know that stuff by now!). The "ice cream" tastes like the best cup of coffee you've ever had. It has a tiny bit of coffee in it, low on the ingredient list.
Your friend can do it, I KNOW -- with your help.
