Really, I do. It's annoying!

Before I gave up coffee and started Heather's diet, I got the super quick arrival, agonizingly long and painful episodes on the toilet. I would be there for such a long time, sweating, cramping, tears flowing. Horrible!

Then after starting the diet it's gotten better- not so much with the GET THE HECK OUT OF MY WAY urgency (still urgent, but I haven't had to kill anyone to get to the potty!). I have the "quick version," I suppose, now, when I do have a flareup (which is increasingly less frequent!). Though on my "bad" days, I have frequent trips that are not nearly as painful and dramatic. I may have to go 4 or 5 times, but it's not as bad as it used to be.

The cramps are THE WORST. When I get sick, I get SICK. I'm in the bathroom for hours... and often I throw up too I'm in so much pain. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday and I'm going to ask her about the Donnatal in case of emergencies...

Oh yeah, Jen! Coffee....I don't even want to THINK about those "kill any one who gets in your way" kind of attacks anymore. Isn't it wonderful that we can mostly control this now?!

That's the way I feel when I have my attacks too... although I'm mostly C since starting the diet and thankfully don't have them very often anymore. But I also get very flushed and feel extremely nautious, although unlike you I've never actually thrown up. But I always hold onto a bucket while I'm sitting on the toilet just in case. It's such an agonizing feeling.

Yes, I also keep a bowl under the bathroom sink in case of throw up with cramping. I get really hot too and my heart starts beating really hard, backaches, the works. And I am someone who NEVER thows up when sick for anything else, just this.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!? I've missed you! I'm feeling deserted -- Ruchie's gone, Krazee Kandee's gone, I don't know where Mags is, and I haven't seen you for like FOR-EVER! Everyone's abandoning me.

About that Donnatal (my fave) -- did you read the post from Heather in which she said she used to take Donnatal too, but she's found that, for an anti-spasmotic, her peppermint caps work BETTER! WOW!

Jenny, don't leave me.

The best thing to keep by the toilet is an old-fashion chamber pot. Guests don't know the real reason why it's there; they think it's just charming 'cause it's old. You can keep your toilet brush in it or your plunger or rolls of toilet paper or bath soaps. Then, when you have a double-ender attack, you just pull out the chamber pot!

Since we have only one bathroom at present, I actually have 2 chamber pots. Don't ask.

Bev, that sounds to me like a superfluous amount of chamber pots. I just wanted to use that big word.

Nah, no amount of chamber pottage is superfluous.
