Still have problems with diverticulus, mainly constipation at times rather than other.

I do take Metamucul on a daily basis but although pharmacist and physician deny it I believe I read somewhere on here where Psylliun over time can lose it's effectiveness.

If so is ther another supplement I can try that does not require a major change in adjusting? Also since since it is more constipation rather than other should I make a major change in diet?

Hi again, ArtKen,

We've talked a lot about the diverticulosis. I have it too. Hopefully no more diverticulitis, I hope?

Have you given any thought to Heather's acacia? I used to take Citrucel, but I switched to the acacia, and I like it SOOO much better! A lot of us have switched to the acacia. You can order it from Heather; she ships everywhere. Check it out.

Thanks again, wil look into it. Wondering if theire is a Canadian supplier first because of the red tape now in shipping from U.S.A.

We cannot have it delivered to our residences but have to pick it up at a nearby postal outlet and pay an extra 7% for our G.S.T.

I'm not sure at moment since it seems to be mostly constipation whether it's straight diverticulus or diverticulosis that's been kicking up. No fever and no d.

I believe you can only get acacia from Heather. I believe that, even with your GST, it's still a good deal; one package of the stuff goes a long way -- it lasts me two months. If you order two pounds, that should last you about four months. I don't know what the GST would be on a 2-pound package, but I'll bet it's still cheaper than buying a 4-month supply of Metamucil or Citrucel.

If your diverticulosis was "kicking up," you'd end up with diverticulitis and you'd be doubled over in pain, clutching onto the furniture, and your IBS anti-spasmodic meds wouldn't be working for you -- at least that's always my diverticulitis symptoms. Are your anti-spasmodic meds not working for you? You have no D?

Maybe Heather's peppermint capsules would work for you. She likes them better than Donnatal (the anti-spasmodic meds she used to take that I like so much and works for me); she says the caps work better! You might think about ordering them with the acacia, ArtKen.

Sounds like a good idea. If I order will get the teas as well as they are more expensive here locally.
Again thanks
