Hey Ruchie, are you there? Did you see Jen's post? She's gonna start a support group in Baltimore -- you could join when you guys move there!

Yaaay!

That's a plan! At 100 bags a week, tho, I may actually start to dislike them eventually!

Actually, the online price jives with what they were charging at my Safeway. Maybe the cost has gone down. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised when Safeway brings them back. That store is always so good about ordering things for you when you request them (at least, they are here, in MD!).

Okay, I admit it, Baltimore is a lovely place. I love the Chesapeake! (Did I spell that right? Lol) It's just that Ruchie just moved to NY and I haven't even gotten to meet her yet... snif.

You spelled it right! C'mon down to the Chesapeake, ya'll, and have some steamed crabs right here in Bawlmer!

Well, I'm sorry she's leaving NY, but hope she'll be happy down here.

Ah, the Chesapeake! Before I was born, my daddy had a beautiful yacht that he kept on the Chesapeake. When World War II broke out, the government came and took his boat for the war effort. RATS.

When I lived in Virginia, way back in '63, I dated a young man who had a 30-foot ketch and he too kept it on the Chesapeake. We went out on it several times, but the slowly gentle rolling motion in the Bay got to me, and by the end of the day when I got to dry land I blew lunch. I'm sure all those beers I had on board had nothing to do with it!

Ah, fond memories . . . .

Wow! Yes! I love the idea. I'm actually a Texan in B'more. I've already posted on the support group board. And wow Bev, I didn't know Ruchie was moving to B'more. This is all really good news, and spring's almost here, too!

About bread...my doctor suggested I not eat it after my colonoscopy in Jan. I have stress-related ulcers, ibs-c and some other problems, so I truly don't know the reason to skip bread, but I'm suspicious of bread anyway, so I don't mind staying away (it's hard though, isn't it? i didn't know how much of our food has bread in it - i've had to be very creative! It's been kinda fun. We'll give each other pointers, maybe.

My snack today: baked apples with lemon juice, honey and cinnamon (in foil with a little water and apple cider) yumm-o!

Let's keep in touch,
evie
