Who has had this done before? I'm having one on Tuesday. Are you put out or are you still awake? How long does this take? Any advice would be wonderful! I tend to have attacks when I know I'm having something like this done! If I know what to expect from it maybe I won't get so nervious!

Thanks

OK! Yep, had that done! NO BIG DEAL! You are heavily sedated, I don't remember a thing and didn't feel a thing! I was very neverous because I have a terrible gag reflux but it really was nothing to worry about. They will tell you not to eat before. They will start an IV and give you the drugs and nightie, nite! I woke up a while later and felt groggy but fine! I didn't even have a sore throat or anything! They also did whats called a ballooning procedure, the opening at the bottom of my stomach was very small so they used some kind of balloon thing to make the opening bigger. Honestly, this was probably the easiet test I have had done! Don't worry, its a piece of cake! Do keep us posted on the results, although I will be in the caribbean for 2 weeks!

Is this the same thing as an upper endoscopy? If it, you'll be A-ok Steph!

*hugs* and let us know how it goes

Hey pretty lady! Why are you having this done? What are they looking for? Is this done by an ENT specialist? Is it the periscope that they insert down your throat? I had that done once when I thought I had a lump down there and couldn't breathe. They didn't find anything; I was just stressed out.

Honey, if you can handle a colonoscopy and carry a baby inside of you, you're going to go through this SOOOOO easily! Tuesday, eh? Okay, I'll be thinkin' 'boutcha. Keep us posted, okay?

I must be misunderstanding something...if Steph is pregnant, they wouldn't let her have an EGD right?! (If you are pregnant, CONGRATS...and if you're already a mom...CONGRATS too!)

*hugs*

Hey, Steph! Aren't you pregnant? Did I dream it? I recall a conversation we had about your worrying over the pregnancy .... I couldn't have dreamt it, could I?

Gee it's hell getting old.
