For the past mounth I've tried Latrase capsules when I eat something that contains milk powder/dairy and I feel much better. Last week I ate a capsule and a few bits of a chocolate brand that have made me feel sick before and I didn't feel a thing.

Check out "The Really BIG List of Lactose Percentages":

Have a nice day!

This may help for lactose intolerance (I'm not familiar with it), but I wouldn't consider it to be helpful for IBS. All dairy products also contain casein and whey, which are also triggers. The meds for lactose do not help with the casein and whey. Much to my sadness, I gave up on dairy and lactose meds long ago. I really miss dairy.

Fia, I also do okay with small amounts of fatfree dairy. I guess we're both exceptions to the general rule.

I've been using the lactase enzymes for about 15 years and they have made a huge difference in my life. Here in the states we also have a brand of lactose free milk called Lactaid. It works for me, but as HanSolo says, I wouldn't recommend it generally for IBS.

BTW, where in Sweden are you? My cousin and her family recently lived there for two years for his job. I'll have to look up where exactly.

I live in the southern part of Sweden in a university town called Lund. I've never been in USA but I recon we have the same climate and nature as the area between New York and Boston.

Sounds nice. I see in your bio you have a little girl named Olivia. That's a popular name in the states right now too. I have two different friends who named their babies Olivia.

I checked where my cousin Ann was. It was on the coast and there was a big Volvo plant there. I think the name is Västra Frölunda. At least that's what I have in my address book. Does that sound right?

Goteborg that's it! I blocked on it because what came to mind is Groeningen, which is where my great great grandfather was from in Holland.

They're back in the states now. I've seen all her pictures. It really looked lovely. Thanks for the links!
