"Desert Island Food" Poll

Kree and I were talking on another post and I had a thought. I play a game I call "desert island food" with people:

If you were exiled to a desert island and could only take one food, what would it be? My mom says bread, but for me it would be potatoes, without question!!

How about all of you??

What a fun idea! I'd have to agree with your mom and say bread... meaning a sweet bread or a muffin! It was a tough call between that and chocolate, but I need my carbs even more. Lol.

Potatoes are wonderful, but I think I'd get tired of eating them by themselves very quickly.

Okay, since this is FANTASY (I got it this time!), then my fantasy would include the fact that I have no IBS, right? Okay, then there's no question what food I would take:

CHOCOLATE!!!!!

LOL!! I was waiting for someone to come up with that!! Bev, I'm also a total chocoholic -- on my honeymoon the highlight was not what you'd think... it was the hotel's Chocoholic All You Can Eat Dessert Bar -- 50, that's FIFTY different kinds of chocolate desserts. I was so young and healthy then, it didn't even make me sick! Ah, heaven!

ICE CREAM!!!
Let's see,Moose Tracks would be great
hot fudge sundaes w/nuts
chocolate w/chocolate chips and nuts
mint choc. chip
Do these count as separate items.I mean Ice Cream is ice cream.I just want to request a variety of my favs.
Yes giving this up or having it only once in a while is a big challenge.

What, this is if we didn't have IBS?? Well that changes things! In that case I'd go with the ice cream idea! I don't think I'd mind eating mint chocolate chip ice cream all day, every day. Ahh.

Hmmm... the tough part of this is that I know I'd get sick of eating whatever it was pretty soon... but I'm going to go with Frappucinos. Absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever (though you ice cream folks have no either). Thus I get the chocolate malt kind (yum), the caramel coffee one (double yum), and my favorite of all, the Chai Tea. Now, if only they made a PEANUT BUTTER frappucino....

Heck, if we're pretending and I don't have IBS and Reflux, then I would pick chocolate...I've always been a chocoholic and I had to give it up. Then I could eat my chocolate chip muffins again. And my Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Brownie ice cream. Wow, I wish I could live in this fantasy

That would be American peanut butter, right? LOL!

I would definitley take a few hundred boxes of plain cheese pizza from Pizza Hut. I'd die in a a year from malnutrition, but hey at least I'd be full!

Well duh! Oh, but here's a good thing about England... some days they have the Frappucino Machino out on the streets that gives out free dixie cups of Frappucino, and the nice Starbucks people will give you as many samples as you can carry!
