Hello-

I started a probiotic today and have terrible bloating and gas. I know this can be typical when starting a probiotic but this is pretty bad. I noticed the probiotic has FOS in it. Is this something I should be concerned with or is it in a trace amount and thus ok. The probiotic is Now Foods Probiotic 10.

Andrew,

I opened your link and did not see anything on FOS.

What do you mean by this?

Thanks!

IBS returned in late July 2013 after taking 2 oral contrasts for a CT scan for cancer follow up. Had more acupuncture with different practitioner in summer 2014, but received little benefit.

I am SORRY! I do see the FOS now. I don't think this should bother you?

At best probiotics are only moderately effective. At the moment there is insufficient clinical evidence to support their use
