I have been looking into the low fodmap diet for a while and have a question. I understand that you go without high fodmap foods for a few weeks then reintroduce them to find your trigger foods.
My question is that if I can handle 1-2 foods from the group without any triggers, can I conclude that entire food group safe for me?

For example, if I try to test out Fructose by reintroducing honey and apples and I do fine with them with no symptoms, does that mean the whole group of Fructose is not a problem for me?

It is best to stick with 100% no high FODMAP foods during the elimination phase or at least for a couple of weeks. And then test the one you think you are sure is not a problem first.

If you don't have problems with honey or any other food with excess fructose then you can assume that all foods with excess fructose - within reasonable amounts - is not a problem for you.
