I am hoping to find a recommendation for a good weight loss meal replacement drink that does NOT contain either Stevia, Monk Fruit, FOS, or Inulin as filler/sweetners. It's damn near impossible. I've found non-dairy, non-soy, gluten-free, every allergen under the sun-free, but they always sneak that Inulin or STevia in wrecking it for me. The pain/gas is worse than just drinking a whey protein shake. I'm doing a medical weight loss & having a hell of a time finding meal replacers.

Hi,
I'm not sure any over the counter meal replacement drink would comply with the EFI (Eating for IBS) diet here. Off hand, all I can think of is the banana smoothie in the recipe book with the acacia soluble fiber; But wouldn't think that alone is fitting with low enough calories and nutrient variety in meals needed to stay optimally healthy (or keep BM regularity from a drink fulltime) while losing weight. You would need to compare your IBS needs following this diet in The First Year: IBS book on this site to what your doctor's/dietician's calorie and nutrient requirements are for you. This diet has helped me KEEP a stable healthy weight. Hoping you are able to meet your healthiest goal and still be digestive track/colon calm in the process.:) BTW, I've used stevia with no problem and it should be ok for general use.
