Pages: 1 Hypothyroidism and IBS       #371824 - 01/16/15 10:12 AM Edit Reply Quote Candy07 Reged: 08/13/13 Posts: 329 Hello, I received GREAT news from my oncologist Wednesday, 1/14! I am STILL in remission for TWO years now from my Hodgkin's Lymphoma! However, the 15 radiation treatments not only caused me a PERMANENT dry mouth, but it has affected my thyroid now too!! I was wondering if Hypothyroidism can cause IBS symptoms? I am starting a new medication for this tomorrow to correct the problem. Thanks Heather and all!! -------------------- Originally diagnosed with IBS-C in Spring, 2008. During spring to fall of 2008, had at least 10 acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs. IBS went into remission. IBS returned in late July 2013 after taking 2 oral contrasts for a CT scan for cancer follow up. Had more acupuncture with different practitioner in summer 2014, but received little benefit.
