Does anyone taking these shots find that it increases IBS problems after for a week or so?

Are these shots recommended for IBS?

I was urged to have them for my depression but never got them!

Originally diagnosed with IBS-C in Spring, 2008. During spring to fall of 2008, had at least 10 acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs. IBS went into remission. IBS returned in late July 2013 after taking 2 oral contrasts for a CT scan for cancer follow up. Had more acupuncture with different practitioner in summer 2014, but received little benefit.

Not for IBS just low B12 level in blood. I get them once a month. Not sure how they would help depression.

I take the combined B vites (all in 1 spray) that includes other vites internally sublingually with no problem;Cell Food brand multi. vit. spray. It's the best way to go with Bs, combined with the other Bs. Years ago the IBS-D was really running me down, and a Naturopath Doctor was trying to strengthen my system with B shots.

When we don't get solid sleep, we don't produce enough serotonin for our brains and depression can set in I've read. Help with the nervous system running better with less stress is good. B's can irritate the stomach and timed release don't work well with IBS....Injections hurt and wear down before the next shot..If you can afford it out of pocket, sublingual sprays are great for IBS.

Thanks Much!

Hi Candy!
I was posting about "sublingual spray" which is sprayed under the tongue that is a little over $1/day and worth it. It absorb ALOT better than pills, capsules or gelcaps or even any that are time released, i.e. anything hard that could bother ibs and zip through you ending up not doing any good. Look up Cellfood brand multi vitamin spray, which includes properly "all the Bs taken together" as well. They are in healthy type food stores too, if not stores can order. Enzymes give you a boost of energy too, since cooking our fruits and veggies kills down some enzymes (and vitamins) too. I had a long time of malabsorption due to bouts of IBS-D before this diet and started using Heather's soluble acacia fiber.

I know B-12 shots are suggested for people who don't eat much of or eat any animal protein, especially vegans....or aren't absorbing it well. I prefer sublingual (under the tongue) multi-vitamin sprays, which I wish my insurance would pay for.
